HCB Annual Fun Shoot Fundraiser

Every September, Hill Country Bowhunters holds our Annual Fun Shoot.

This event includes a 30 target 3d Archery Tournament - kicked up a notch for even more fun! - as well as games, auctions, raffles and more!

The purpose of this event is two-fold.
  1. We use it to kick off the hunting season (and close out 3d tournament season) for the exception of 2019 where we had the rescheduled Fun Shoot in March due to weather.
  2. Most Importantly, it is our primary source of fundraising for the HCB Youth Hunt Program.


This event grows bigger and better each year with the help and support of our members and Community Sponsors.

***100% of the  proceeds of this event go to our Youth Hunting fund which allows HCB to send local youth on hunts!***

How Can You Help???

This event would not be possible without volunteers and donations. As the Fun Shoot grows each year, the need for your help grows, too.

Volunteers are always needed to help plan, set up, coordinate donations, oversee games, etc. 

About 75% of the funds raised at the Fun Shoot each year are raised via raffles and auctions. We are only able to hold these events because of generous donations from you. If you, your family, or your business are interested in Donating, please contact us at your earliest convenience. Likewise, non-perishable donations can be made in person at any of our regularly scheduled events.

Donations do not have to be related to archery or hunting!

Examples of donations we will accept include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Food (we typically offer a BBQ lunch plate at the Fun Shoot)
  • Archery, hunting, fishing or camping supplies
  • Gift certificates - movies, restaurant, massage/spa day, shopping, game processing, hunting trips, etc.
  • Gift Baskets
  • Sporting goods or memorabilia
  • Vacation packages
  • Coolers
  • Feeders, timers and/or corn
  • Kids toys, games, school supplies, outdoor equipment, etc.
  • Pet toys and/or supplies
  • Cash or Gift Cards - to supplement any needs that were not met by physical donations.

Businesses and individuals can also opt to sponsor a 3D target for $100 and have their business name prominently displayed on the course the day of the event.

Please consider supporting our Youth Hunt Program by volunteering for, donating to and attending our Annual Fun Shoot!

We are a non-profit organization, so donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be provided to donors for their tax purposes.
