HCB FAQ
If you do not find the answers you are looking for below, please contact us with your questions. Thank You!
1. Do I have to be a member to participate in the 3D Tournaments?
Answer: No. Our tournaments are open to the general public and to shooters of all ages.
2. Can I shoot a crossbow?
Answer: No. Unfortunately our property is not set up to safely accommodate crossbow shooting.
Compound and traditional bows with field tips are welcome.
3. Where can I find the membership application?
Answer: Our membership application is available for download here.
4. Can I come by to tour the property and practice range?
Answer: Yes. However, we respectfully request that you contact us in advance to set up a time for an officer to meet you. We are 100% volunteer
run so we do not have a staff on-site.
5. Do you teach archery?
Answer: No. We do not provide classes on archery. We do, however, have several officers & members who are NASP certified and can help with
the basics during our scheduled events. Otherwise, we recommend you contact a local archery shop (several can be found on our sponsor page).
Likewise, you are welcome to come to our tournaments to glean some knowledge from our members and participants at the practice range!
6. Why was a scheduled tournament canceled?
Answer: 99.9% of the time, if we cancel a tournament it is due to an exceptionally rainy season. We do not own the property we use. As such, we are
under contract with the land owner to be good stewards of the property. We try to use our best judgement as to when it is too muddy to safely host our
shoots without damaging the land.
