Wind! Wind! Wind! Can't recall when there has been so much wind during hunting season. First day, I came to full draw with no release. This evening, I came to full draw, sights lighted, but too dark to even see the doe in the peep, let down, stripped the velcro release, deer scattered, season over, but what a season I had. Had many opportunties, was successful on one, hunted with my bud, Flinger, hunted with many good friends, so I can not picture having a better season, except having a future date with an eight. LOL. Hope your season was as enjoyable as mine. What is next???? TURKEY!

Congrats Oleman. I was able to hunt only for a few days while in Tennessee. Didn't get to draw at all. I'll be back chasing pigs before too long.

My season ended great thanks to Brandon letting us practice population control at his ranch. This season is the only season in my whole hunting career to fill all my tags and 4 of the 5 deer were taken with a bow! Although I didn't get to harvest a big buck this year I would have to rate the season as an A+ overall.

The hill country was slow for deer this year. Biggest acorn crop we've ever seen...and a brief rut. Few deer were seen; almost no mature bucks were sighted. Weird weather...rain and lots of strong, variable winds. I shot a doe finally in mid December. I wish I could have had more time to go hunting this year. I missed out completely on the late season.

My season ended with me and my lovely bride buying furniture for our new home. Overall my season was great. I didn't get to hunt as much as I would have liked ( home building project ) but the times I did hunt were great. I played one of the greatest games of cat and mouse with a ol'mossy horns only to have him come within range one time but it was to late to shoot. Was ablr to hunt with Oleman on several occassion's and watch him put an awesome shot on a big ol' bully oa seven point. Got to spend time bonding with my new little hunting buddy , Jacob, in what will always be a memomarble hunt. Was able to put my lovely bride on a elusive South Texas buck that scored 164 3/4, her personal best. I was able to harvest a fine S. Texas management buk myself. And to cap off another great year, I was able to finish my season off hunting with a bunch of great guys and gals from the HCB. Just think deer season is only a few months away and then it time to do it all over again!!!!!!!!!!

Where is Tommy? Have missed his post for some time. Guess if he is out of country, you have a truck, and a big floor board where you can throw your candy wrappers! LOL And do some mudding when it rains.
