I came home today from a real estate license crash course (yes, I've gotten to the point that I'll sell real estate to survive if a 'real' job does not materialize soon) and I found this mud covered, duck filled pickup in front of my house, lo and behold, with an HCB decal! Actually Ryan took it last night to Los Banos CA (I don't speak much Spanish other than "dunde esta los havalinas?" but it either translates to 'the waters' or 'the bathroom') duck hunting with a bunch of his buddies. The horrible weather last week in northern CA (they had to close Interstate 5 south of the Oregon border due to the unusually heavy early-season snowstorm) finally brought the ducks south to warmer weather. There's 6 teals and 1 widgeon (daily limit is 7 here) laid out on the tailgate. Let's see- 1 sow, a bunch of ducks, broke the truck in right this fall! Getting ready to take the breasts out of marinade and put them on the grill shortly! There's something about an 18 year old male, 4 wheel drive and mud (lots of it) that do wonders to 'decorate' your vehicle. BTW his truck is not yet back on the road, I'm following Rat's great diagram and instructions and we're cuttin' and grindin' on the cab's roof and should be ready to weld it back on next weekend.

Hey Rat,

Great to hear from you 'over yonder'. I picked up the MIG welder, a steel 1x2 tube to reinforce the door posts and some scrap stell to practice (learn) on. Plan of record is hunt ducks tomorrow am then try to get the cab welded back on Sunday. I'll post pics if we succeed.
