Looking at changing broadheads this year. Last year shot the Monotech. I was a little disappointed in performance. Fly's great but on the one doe I shot left Literally no blood. Those on the doe Spike hunt can verify. Took out both lungs & Heart and did not find one single drop. Also blade chips way to easy.

Mechanicals are out of the question. To many moving parts and I don't feel comfortable shooting through mesh.

So what do ya'll shoot and why?

Thunderheads, fly like darts, leave big holes, razor sharp out of the box.

Muzzy, fly like darts (even better than T-Heads), virtually indestructable, break bones, need a little wheting out of the box, however, I have heard they have a new sharpening system.

I use Muzzy 100 gr. 4 blades...they fly like my field points, strong tip, sharp and assembly is solid and they have repalceable blades.

Magnus Stinges is a good choice as well. Fly well, 2 or 4 blades, sharp, easy to sharpen, Stainless Steel. This is what I will get for Colby to shoot a hog with this year. They come in 85, 100 and 125 gr.

Brandon, stick what brought you. Muzzy's 100 gr will do what needs to be done. I plan to stick with them.

Thunderheads will shed a blade rather than stop. Easy to tune time proven mo changes in years. Replacable blades I always strop them a little to get them crazy sharp. Have never failed me. Muzzys are good also be I have had the tricore point be a little off center.

Any broadhead placed in the right place will killl a deer.
I plan to use 100 grain Thunderheads on bear in canada in 5.5 weeks

I use a mechanical through the mesh. No proplems here. They fly very true. And leave lots of blood. Three does down at your place remember.

Here's a new broadhead I'm going to try this year. I've been hearing great things about this broadhead. They are sold out at this time but should be ready to ship any day now.

Slick Trick Broadheads

Muzzy 100g 3 blade, took 3 deer at your place and ya'll were watched me take one of them, LOL! Every deer I have shot has left a great blood trail and didn't go very far at all. I have shot pigs with these with the same results. The sharpening system that they are using now makes them just as sharp as any other blades, one of my fingers will testify to that, ouch! Also with the interlocking blades and tip, like Rat said," virtually indestructible, break bones" I hit a t-post with one and it is still intact, a little bent but none of the blades broke or came out.

What have ya'll heard about these new short broadheads. Suppose to be more accurate, great penetration, and good cutting width.

I think I have narrowed it down to three

Muzzy
THunderhead
Nap Crossfire

Brandon, you know the Muzzy broadhead! Agree with the undestructable, highly accurate, and kill results. Also agree they have a small cutting edge, something to consider on the monster bucks of Kansas. Flinger swears by the Thunderhead. I have witnessed many of his kills. Also undestructable, accurate, excellent kill results, larger cutting edge, meaning a possibility of better blood flow.

Both have been around awhile. Both have high ratings. Take both, load arrows, don't look at the arrow you plan to use, and bet you have the same result. JMO
